Testimonials from parents
"As an aside, and just some feedback from your Fun Languages programme ... our daughter Isabel took French with your tutor at Sommerville last year. She is now at y7 where French is compulsory and taught within the school curriculum, and has been admitted into their top French class! (Her only other encounter with the language was 2 very brief visits to France !) So. Well done :-) (Michelle Schmidt, Auckland, NZ) "We are delighted that our son is learning French at school. Young children find all language fascinating and the introduction of French at such a young age gives the children the essential confidence needed to really enjoy and expand their language skills as they get older." (Zarin Poole, Queenstown, NZ) " ... Learning Chinese in a fun environment, with an experienced teacher and in a group of keen children! Look no further... North Shore Fun Languages has it all! My daughter loved it and cannot wait to continue next year after her very first class. She came home, reached out for an encyclopedia to find out more about China and to practice what she had just learnt: colors, numbers (1 to 7) and even a song! All this in 1 hour. Impressive and stimulating! I highly recommend it!" (Mum, Mandarin for Kids, North Shore, Auckland) "Kia ora. Excellent programme. Highly Recommended to every one. We had a French Ex Army officer as a dinner guest and he complimented my daughter not only on her ability to speak the language, which he maintained was not in itself a great achievement, but he said that my daughter’s accent was quite good and that was an achievement. Given that in our family nobody else speaks that language, I believe that LCF should take full credit . I have tried to talk my daughter out of the programme but she is having fun and is not persuaded by my arguments to get out because it is a hassle to pick and drop her for her Monday lessons." (Hasan Khan - Auckland) "Hi Natalie "It has been great to have him coming home and singing French songs, and telling us how to say things in French and we are open to this". (Daniel Judd - parent of student at Kings View School) The LCF program is great. My child is learning French in a natural, fun and friendly environment. We all sing along with the CD in the car. Thanks Natalie! (Andrea Roebeck, Queenstown, NZ) "Annabelle really enjoys your classes and I think it's fantastic that she can be exposed to French in such a fun way and at such a young age!" (Jonty, parent, Auckland) Nicky, a mum of 2 year old Jagger from the Eastbourne pre-school French group said recently, "Thanks for putting the cd in my letterbox. Jagger just loves it and just wants to keep listening to it. And he knows some of the songs from our tout-petits class and sings them". (Stefi - Club Manager - Lower Hutt) "Mandy and Jackson attended the fun languages holiday French programmes and in the words of Jackson, now 16 ... “I still have such great memories of learning so much and having great fun. This made me really enjoy my time in France when we went on a family trip. It gave me such an interest in French which I am now taking at high school “. The holiday programmes were so interactivem, with singing, cooking and games which made the learning FUN. The children really looked forward to going and it gave them "Cameron has been attending this program for 6 months, he looks forward to the lessons and thoroughly enjoys himself while learning a 2nd language, he especially enjoys the role play and interaction with his class mates, the classes are well run making the learning an enjoyable experience. Well done Nathalie!" (Stu Brown - Queenstown) a base for more formal learning in high school." (Michelle, parent, Auckland) I am quite impressed at how much (my daughter) has picked up. It is not uncommon for her to pop out with the odd spontaneous 'passe moi le lait s’il te plait' at the table, and she does seem to be developing a bit of vocab. All seemingly effortlessly. She also enjoys watching the French stories and songs on the website and the CD. Great! (Auckland parent, NZ) Thank you, Ella loved her first lesson, I think that is the first time she has come home from school raving about how much she loved something! So thank you. (Caroline Stone, Parent, NZ) “Olivia has been constantly asking me to say things to her in Italian, to sing to her in Italian and she loves practising what she has learnt, our lessons have been fun for the both of us!! She squeals with delight when I tell her its Italian day” (Mandy mother of Olivia age 3) “….. I would really like to take this opportunity to let you know how happy and thrilled we have been with the LCF teaching. We now have French at breakfast lunch and dinner and as a Mum I can’t tell you how happy this makes me.” "We are very lucky to have an LCF native French speaker in Queenstown, and I notice what a great accent my 7 year old twins have already! They also have a good base vocabulary that has enabled us to start reading simple familiar stories in French at home. I see the teaching they get now as a springboard for a lifelong love of all things French. (Rachel Rose - Queenstown) "LCF Fun Languages lessons are play-based. The children enjoy them so much that their foreign language acquisition comes, seemingly, effortlessly. They have also picked up a lot of cultural understanding from the extremely fun and respectful teachers." (Lee, mother of of Erin and Sebastian age 8 and 3) "My daughter Olivia started learning French with LCF Fun Languages when she was eight years old and it continues to be one of her strongest subjects at the age of 14. I firmly believe that the fun environment, along with emphasis on correct pronunciation, grammar and practical everyday language provided my daughter with a solid base for her secondary study. I studied French for five years and travelled around France for a month and still cannot speak as well as she does.I highly recommend LCF Fun Languages as an excellent start to learning this beautiful language." ( Prue Payne, mother of Olivia, aged 14. Wellington, New Zealand)

Testimonials from our LCF Teachers, who LOVE what they do
"In one of my classes I have a couple of boys that can be quite distracting. Last week I said to the class "If you don't behave today I am going to keep you in and teach you at playtime!" Clementine pipes up and says "I don't mind, I like French, can I stay too?". "Uhh... not really the desired effect, but I was still pleased". Maroussia- Club Manager, Auckland “I have one child with a French Canadian mother. Apparently since joining the class she has shown much more interest in speaking French at home and loves to practice the new vocabulary she has learned with her mother.” “I have brothers in my class who are consistently late for band practice, but always on time for Italian! They enjoy coming to school early and being part of our club. I was not aware but one child in my French group was dyslexic and lacked self confidence because of this ........ I didnt know this until her mum came and thanked me at the end of term and said that she had become almost a different child and was full of confidence and enthusiasm ! It had made a huge impact to her and her whole family ! Go here for more testimonials from our teachers
